Medicare Drug Plans (Part D)

Medicare drug plans cover generic and brand-name drugs. All plans must cover the same categories of drugs, but plans can generally choose which include coverage of specific drugs in each drug category. Another common name for these plans is Medicare Part D.


Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

A Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) policy is a type of health insurance that helps cover some of the healthcare costs not covered by Medicare, such as coinsurance, copayments, or deductibles. Private insurance companies sell Medigap policies.
